Why do students procrastinate?

This is a question that boggles the mind of many all the time. Why students choose  procrastinate? In other terms this means to wait for the last minute to complete a task or assignment they probably had ample amount of time to do in the first place. As a college student you tend to put off what you have to do, for what you want to do at that moment. We are all victims of this crime. Regardless if it is intentional or not, it has happened to many students at some point in school.
A solution to this problem would be to take on an activity that requires you to be on time maybe even a job of some sort. It is usually effective when you have an incentive as the driving force, which will help you learn the value of time. Once you are mandated to complete a task and receive an incentive for it, it becomes way more effective in helping you complete a task. Another solution would be to make a to do list. It helps when you have a list of things to complete. There is no better feeling than saying that “I actually accomplished that goal” and being able to cross it off your list.
