Has the authenticity and truth been taken out of media ?

After watching and reading the news reports about the Boston Marathon tragedy, I became frustrated with the media once again. In similar fashion as previous incidents, the same information was repeated me for hours.

"Analysts" gave their opinions on what they thought happened, and news reporters beat me over the head with obvious information. As a former communications major I learned that the media was supposed to be non-bias, and that they were supposed to bring nothing but the truth to the consumer.

But that's the exact opposite of what's actually happening. Reporters are so anxious to be the first to report that they will go on national television and report garbage instead investigating to find the truth.

Signed,
Senator McLamore
